what's better than a bit of controversy, a lot of fun and the magical and funky beauty of some of todays most talked about icons !!? yeah yeah yeah im lovin everybit of those new ads for Vivienne Westwood new campaign ! actually im lovin the fact that they violent Pamela, the beach blonde baywatch queen ! the playboy-american lady ! the not so lovely icon ! yeah it was risky choosing such a controversial woman but after all, photographer Juergen Teller has become the master at photographyin celebs for big brands !! who would forget victoria beckham, posh spice for marc jacobs !!!? and Vivienne is now complainin so very much at everything done in our society that it was the perfect thing to do ! and even tough i agree with some people who think we dont wanna buy her clothes as they dont look photogenic enough, i'd add tough, that it feels good seeing how much fun they got ! yeah the best remedy to heal us from boredness is probably to do exactly the same ! spend ten days in Miami with gorgeous people !

i totally loved the idea behind this campaign even though the notion of irony and controversy is kind of doubtable this time. i don't think of these images as provoking or that of making a social comment. i believe it's much more about charismatic personalities of those three (and Pam IS charismatic, whether we accept it or not) than fashions or making any sort of statement. of course, one can mediate on objectifying notorious celeb or making a controversial parody on the modern tabloid-driven society. but really with Vivienne Westwood i think the point it was not. just two fantastic women with a mind-blowing man. by the way, did you see his legs?..

Cette idée est géniale, ces clichés sont géniaux, bref c'est fabuleux ! Franchement moi qui suis toujours allergique aux "égéries superstars" là j'admets avec délice que cette campagne ne manque pas de piquant et a vraiment un souffle intéressant !! Car combien de campagnes avec des célébrités sont totalement fades (comme celle avec Marion Cotillard pour Dior) et sans originalité .. ?! Heureusement que des projets de ce genre (ou comme VB pour MJ) sont là pour redynamiser tout ça !
